It gets points for simplicity, but this keylogger can't be hidden from experienced users. LightLogger lacks an interface. It starts logging on install, and you merely invoke the keystrokes display as needed. The log is a simple HTML page that displays the application and its keystrokes. The keystroke display is very basic. You have no idea where in the application the keys were pressed. LightLogger fails to track backspace and delete keys. An option to display passwords failed to reveal any, but they were displayed in the regular logs. Of course, this application doesn't log any mouse movements or tabbing in windows. Saved passwords that aren't actually typed aren't captured either. This program is simple enough to operate for the most novice of users, but it leaves an obvious process easily found using Task Manager. The program's home page is in Russian and there is no local help screen. Uninstalling the program reboots your machine even if you choose not to do so immediately. If you can't afford a full-featured keylogger, this freeware might do the job for you. That is, if you only have novices using your system.

Tabs access settings and controls for the four main functions, Scan website, Analyze website, Research keywords, and Online tools. We tried both Easy and Advanced modes; their chief difference is in options, not functionality. We liked the keyword researcher's time saving capability to analyze both live Web addresses and raw text inputs. FastPictureViewer Pro (32-Bit)

FastPictureViewer (32-bit) is an attractive image viewer that lets users quickly scan through images, view histograms and image metadata, and label photos. Although the program doesn't have a lot of features, it makes up for it to some extent with a very nice appearance. The program's interface is quite sleek, with its functions organized in four buttons at the lower left corner. In kiosk mode, the program removes the title bar at the top and the taskbar, allowing users to maximize the viewing area. Overall, the program's appearance is very professional and modern, making it a pleasure to work with. Our only criticism of the interface is that moving between subfolders and parent folders is not particularly intuitive. The program's built-in Help file is quite brief and is more a list of keyboard functions than an explanation of how the program works. The program's features are not particularly impressive, although they all function as they should. The program displays an RGB histogram, as well as a metadata panel that shows the image's original exposure information. The program provides a basic labeling function that mimics that of other popular image browsers such as Lightroom and ViewNX. Users should be aware that the program is indeed an image viewer and not an image editor; you won't be doing any tweaking or correcting. FastPictureViewer is free. It installs desktop icons without asking but uninstalls cleanly. We recommend this program for users looking for an attractive, lightweight way to view images.

ToDoList provides a set of easy-to-use tools for monitoring several tasks and due dates. The program's efficient layout is designed to keep users informed of progress and upcoming deadlines on everything from simple tasks to major projects. The program is a little intimidating to start off with, since it's really not much more than a blank screen with a lot of strange-looking command icons. Fortunately, the Help file's tutorial quickly gets you on track. Populating the list took only a few minutes. You can make notes, set due dates, mark your progress, and color-code everything. Completed lists look a bit like a file tree, with each line of tasks interconnected and stacked on top of one another. One of the nicest aspects was the capability to make subtasks stemming from larger tasks. ToDoList doesn't offer many special features, though the simple capability to add a symbol to each task helps differentiate tasks more clearly than color-coding them. Such a feature could be especially useful with massive lists. This simple program performs its job quickly, easily, and intuitively. We couldn't have asked for more from a planning tool. We can see ToDoList being used in business planning meetings, projected on an office wall while tasks are assigned and completion status is updated for important projects. ToDoList is freeware. It comes as a compressed file. We highly recommend this program, with its simple operation and helpful design.
